He is a wonderful little guy. He smiles and talks. He has down syndrome but I never realized how much life he has in him.

This is a test post from flickr, a fancy photo sharing thing.

"Smile Doll"

It's been a long time since my last post so I'm going to post what has happened to me in these past few months.

Well at the time during I was still attending high school but now i'm a graduate WEE-HA haha. In my photography class my teacher talked about a contest he really believes we can enter and win this time. So my class discussed what should we enter and we made our own theme too. Starting from Still Life, Nature, Portraits and finally our theme Night. If I remember correctly ha ha. I enter three of the following list ha ha, except nature. I had no idea what to put for that one.

As for portraits I posted a picture of my friend Johnny and his girlfriend at the rodeo kissing. Johnny is my best friend. He and I known each other for about 6 years now. He has always been such a great model for my pictures. And in my first blog he is the male holding hands with my other best friend Jakcy . Well I love him and now about the picture. It didn't have the sayings at first and the J & M part ha ha. But overall it came out pretty well one of the judges even said it was a "picture perfect aw moment" ha ha. I am very pleased the way it came out but the only thing I wished was if i could've got more of her face though. Only thing that bothers me actually.

For the Night theme I used one of my "painting with light" photos. I was at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for the concert that night which was Black Eyed Peas. They always start a mini firework show before the concert. So I decided to tweak my camera and created the well known effect. I was like wow, I'm painting with light just like the photography definition ha ha. I loved how the blue came out so smooth. It even reminds me of the sky or water xD Cheesy I know. My teacher said it looked cool and great picture. So I felt good about it (:

And now the last but certainly not the least!! Its my best picture out of the three, my porcelain doll that I named the picture "Smile..Doll". It was in the still life themed portfolio in the contest. Still life is what you take something that is not alive and make it come alive. I honestly had no idea what I would put in that theme. I didn't think of anything until I was on my bed and I just looked above my television. There they were, all my porcelain dolls I've kept. So I had a lightbulb moment, I grabbed my biggest doll and took her out of her box. She was just perfect for the picture taking, I went outside and it really brought out her reds and nice natural lighting to her. She was gorgeous, and she definately looked alive. My teacher loved it and said it was my most memorable picture. So I entered it in the contest along with my classmates and with that portfolio we won third place!!! I was really happy we got the news. So we celebrated with a party and such.

And that's that. I have many more stories and pictures to share, thanks for reading.
